Chinese Practice Sheet Maker

Turn up to 50 characters into printable A4 tracing sheets with mi-grid, tian-grid or blank cells, then print or save as PDF

Up to 50 characters. Spaces and line breaks are ignored; punctuation is kept as a cell if you include it. 0/50

In the print dialog, choose “Save as PDF” to download a file. Set margins to none or default and enable background graphics for the grid lines.

This sheet is designed for A4 printing. On a phone you can preview it, but printing works best on a desktop computer.

The sheet uses the system fonts on your device — Kai, Song or Hei. Glyph shapes vary slightly between Windows, macOS and mobile systems, and no third-party font is bundled. Stroke hints come from the open-source cnchar dataset and follow the mainland China standard; the grid prints best on A4 paper.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print the sheet correctly?

Click “Print / Save as PDF”, choose A4 paper and set margins to none or default. If the grid lines are missing, turn on “Background graphics” in the print options.

Why do the characters look different from my textbook?

The sheet renders with the fonts installed on your computer, so the same character can look slightly different on Windows, macOS or a phone. For textbook-exact shapes, install a Kai font you trust and select the Kai style.

Can I use the sheet commercially?

You may print the sheets for personal, classroom or tutoring use. The character data comes from an open-source dataset; the layout is generated by this tool. Do not resell the generated sheets as a standalone product.
